Lending a voice to the Nigerian Dream Narrative – #BJA

Quick throwback to Nairobi trip prelude #Selfie . Should probably smile more. That being said, Happy Democracy day Nigeria.

My solutions for the definition and realisation of the Nigerian dream we may all share, even though I still believe that’s the 1st barrier we need to cross. What’s the plan? 5/10/15/20 years, regardless of political affiliation or dispensation. There has got to be a big picture blue print. In the meantime, we need to:

1.Show and tell: Thought leadership, Think solutions, leverage, showcase and lead the genuine Africa/Nigerian narrative for the future. Share your small victories. It’s not bragging. You are lifting others out of obscurity. That’s the mindset we need to grow. Social Media is a blessing and a curse but the upsides outweigh the negatives.

2.Build Empowerment and Human Capital: Build and think empowerment. Send the elevator back. That’s the ticket to freedom and Eldorado. Who else will find this knowledge useful? We live in silos these days, understandably but we have to strike the balance. We need a chain reaction!

3. Embrace Systems thinking and dialogue: How do my actions and perspectives affect the other, middle ground, end goal and big picture mentality. There is strength in numbers so we will dialogue with a shared goal in mind just like we do in our various respective day to day life and corporate world.

God bless #Nigeria 🇳🇬 and Africa. #AfricaRising #HappyIndependencedayNigeria #Sustainablecommunities #Nigeria #Nairobi #Lagos #Humancapitaldevelopment #Re:Deve #RC #Africarising #BJA

  1. Dope post J5. However, I still think we need to rally together to create the “Nigerian dream” that every Nigerian (rich, poor) can identify with. There’s also no point creating a Nigerian dream if we aren’t sure what “Nigeria” is beyond the geographical boundaries.

    • Thanks. Glad we are aligned but before that rallying round if it will ever happen, what can we do in our different areas of influence? That’s the key call to action but ultimately we need a “Nigerian Dream” Blueprint fair to all, visionary and bounding.
