On any given day,
There will be events that change and forever alter the course of history
Life is taken from someone while a new gift and lease of life is given to another
New alliances are formed, milestones achieved, first pay-check received, new found love emerge and long lived alliances take a plunge
Same day, different array of possibilities,
Each tilting towards the tide of victory, teachable lessons, scares, accomplishments or just a simple small resolve to try again tomorrow
Often left to us to take a stand on which side of the tide we would rather steer towards
No matter how difficult, the decision has to be made
No matter how tough some days get, we can recalibrate, take a momentary pause but a call has to be made
No matter the side of the tide we choose to steer towards,
May we always find the courage, strength and wisdom to live to fight another day
May we find it in us to recognise the good we bring to this world no matter the crooked edges or the many clues we need to figure out to make sense of life’s unending puzzle
May we always find the joy and hope to forge ahead, along with the gift of beautiful and meaningful alliances
May we always have shoulders we can lean on and strangers that would speak for us behind closed doors
