We are all made to evolve.

Painstaking as the experience might sometimes be, the hope is that we are able to learn through the journey, withstand the heat and emerge a better version of ourselves per time. With the needed stamina, geared as much as we can be for the next piece of the puzzle.

Multiple bags and a heart yearning for more, I made a sojourn to live in my 5th country nearing three years ago, accomplishing the 6th in process. The passage so far has been that of ordeals but also seeds of gratitude to still be here, staying in the race and standing with Grace to keep going. Be careful what you wish for indeed as the popular expression goes. And I have been told, there is more to come.

Reflecting further, who are we without the travails, curve balls and new scenarios to navigate? If we don’t crack certain adversities and evolve, how prepared are we for what lies ahead? And yes, there are learnings we can draw through the experiences around us but this plays largely a complimentary role. And goes with consistent reflection, every step of the way. Consciously acknowledging the wins and the positive behaviours that yielded positive outcomes which we need to reinforce. And for the not so positive moments, what have we learnt about ourselves and equally importantly recognising the parameters around that phase of our journey.

Learning to more than ever run towards the growth pains, because that’s the key for the next piece of puzzle by design. Regardless of the uncomfortable phases, because that’s just the way things go. Instead leaning in more into the comfort that comes with knowing that this is simply the modus operandi. Evolve or miss the next tools, refined version of you and the stamina to forge ahead.
