My closing reflection as we gradually draw the curtains on 2024. Borne of out of my commitment to share more of my reflections, definitely shared as much as I could this year with a sustained commitment to keeping at this in 2025.
3 Key reflections from 2024 or the “Kobe” year for the basketball followers out there😉
- It is becoming more apparent that the pathway to growth across all facets of life is all about choices made or unmade, along with a clear understanding of the consequences of our actions or in-actions, as much as we can see or extrapolate. All we get at best is one clue to the next piece of life’s puzzle. If we get lucky, we get two interconnected clues. So certainty indeed remains an in-demand piece of illusion at best.
- Every year will get tougher, in line with the changing landscape, ambitions and sheer nomenclature and frightening implication of the “Matthew Effect”. Resillence, focus and gratitude remain more than ever crucial in navigating the path forward.
- Our time on here is a continuous journey to protect and more importantly grow what has been availed to us. Ambitions and goals aside, our ticket to earning a living is scripturally scripted around our ability to keep showing up, nurturing the talents and gifts given to us. The hard part has been and remains navigating the change curve, the growth pains and travails on this path.
Year 2024 has proven to be consistent with norm. Work, career and family have come throwing punches but I hope the acknowledgment of the terrain and building the muscles to navigate will continue to come in handy. The path that lies ahead will not be without travails, hoping the acknowledgment of this remains the 1st battle won.
Hoping the new year brings new level of Grace for acceleration, fulfilment and impact. Pace and cadence, and the escalation of everything beautiful in allignment with the plans of the maker.
